Greetings Marmites,

Some of you wonGÇÖt like me after this mail, some might hug me all night long (with a happy end) and some might even leave alliance. As we discussed in the latest alliance meeting, we're going to make some changes in Marmites. One of the biggest problems we've got in the alliance, are the trade hubs. Since we started a few year ago, we've had many wars (contracts, merc wars, etc), where we start of great and it gets ****** up by some stupid lose on the trade hub undocks. You might think, why not ban all trade hubs ? Well, we canGÇÖt, as they can be important for our wars.

So this is what's going to happen asap :

I made a new corp called "Dedicated and Dangerous". This will be the ONLY corp allowed in the trade hub systems (Jita, Dodixie, Rens, Hek and Amarr). If you think you're a dedicated trade hub hugger, you're good at it and want to keep doing it, then I want you to apply to that corp. This corp will have max 25 players (incl. alts). In time, a new corp ceo will be appointed. His job will be to decide if youGÇÖre good enough to be a dedicated station hugger, he will ask you to move to another corp if youGÇÖre not and he will setup acceptable fittings (So no 10 sebo, 0 tank fits etc) you can use.

But youGÇÖre in a corp you donGÇÖt want to leave and still want to pvp in the trade hub systems? Too bad, this is not an option. WeGÇÖll build this up slowly, but after 1 may '16, anyone seen in the trade hubs with a Marmite char will be warned and/or kicked if needed. I expect all ceoGÇÖs to handle this within their own corp.

But I need to buy things in the trade hubs? Great, use an alt or ask alliance members, but dont do it with your main Marmite char.

There will be one exception, alliance fleet ops. During an alliance fleet ops (LARGE group of alliance members hunting targets), itGÇÖs up to the FC where to go.

There might be situations where youGÇÖre in one of the exit systems of a hub and youGÇÖve got a great target jumping in to the trade hub system. You can follow and kill on the gate, but not follow it to the trade hub station(s). And if you die, after jumping in a trade hub system, you better have a great story why, as we will ask for the reason why.

On the contrary, it confuses me how unfriendly mercs are with each other. Wardec costs don't scale with membership numbers.

The optimal strategy would be to set up one mega-alliance and split the wardec costs between everyone. A thousand man alliance can maintain 4 times as many wars per member as 4 250 man alliances, which means more targets and an easier time killing them.
